The GeoNetwork portal of the Netherlands Coordination Office of UNSDI is operational for two years by now. Users from 133 countries have found their way to the portal. They made over 15.000 downloads from our database, which consist of over 17.800 items!!!
UNSDI-NCOs GeoNetwork portal's purpose is:
- To improve access to and integrated use of spatial data and information in support of decision making
- To promote multidisciplinary approaches to sustainable development
- To enhance understanding of the benefits of geographic information
- To disclose unique products and services from Netherlands geo-info suppliers
- To make geo-info from UNSDI partners available for national users
